The effects will be exaggerated in low-income and middle-income countries. The causes of sleep disturbances in mature adults and young adults are very different. Musculoskeletal pain has a complex multifactorial relationship with sleep quantity and quality.

Those with previous back disorders, myopathies, extreme obesity were excluded. Sampling size was 330 students. Data collection was computer-based and was analyzed through excel software and Chi value was calculated.

Results: Highest occurrence of back pain based on sleeping location in adolescents is due to sleeping on bed having an extremely soft mattress 64.7% (22). Highest occurrence of back pain based on sleep duration in adolescents is when sleeping <5 h 66.9% (69).
