Editorial & Peer Review Process

Editorial and Peer-Review Process

The editorial process of the National Journal of Physiology, Pharmacy and Pharmacology (NJPPP) is a meticulous and rigorous journey that ensures the publication of high-quality, original research in the field of Physiology, Pharmacy and Pharmacology. The process is designed to maintain the integrity of the content and uphold the standards of scholarly communication.

Submission

Authors submit their manuscripts to NJPPP through the online submission system. Submissions should adhere to the journal's guidelines and focus on various aspects of Physiology, Pharmacy and Pharmacology.

Technical Check

Submitted manuscripts undergo a technical check to ensure compliance with formatting guidelines and other technical requirements. This initial check ensures that the manuscript is ready for the peer-review process.

Similarity Check

A similarity check is performed using Turnitin or a similar tool to identify potential instances of plagiarism. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 20% are flagged and subject to rejection. Originality is paramount to the scholarly nature of the journal.

Editor Assigned

Upon passing the technical and similarity checks, an editor is assigned to oversee the peer-review process. The editor evaluates the manuscript's suitability for the journal and selects appropriate reviewers.

Peer Review

Experts in the field conduct a thorough peer review, assessing the scientific merit, methodology, and significance of the research. The peer-review process ensures that only high-quality and impactful research is accepted for publication.

Editorial Decision

Following peer review, the editor makes an editorial decision based on the reviewers' feedback. The decision can be categorized as:

·       Minor/Major Revision: Authors are requested to address specific concerns or make improvements before the manuscript can be accepted.

·       Reject: Manuscripts that do not meet the journal's standards are rejected.

Revision Submitted by Authors

Authors submit revised manuscripts, addressing the reviewers' comments and making necessary revisions to improve the quality of the work.

Revision Reviewed by Editor and Assigned Editor

The revised manuscript undergoes a review by the editor and the assigned editor from the peer-review process to ensure that all concerns have been adequately addressed.

Similarity Check (Again)

After revisions, the manuscript undergoes another similarity check to ensure that the authors have appropriately addressed any plagiarism concerns.

Accept

Manuscripts that successfully address all concerns and meet the journal's standards are accepted for publication.

Copy Editing

Accepted manuscripts undergo copy editing to enhance clarity, style, and adherence to journal guidelines. This step ensures that the manuscript is consistent with the journal's editorial standards.

English Check

A thorough English check is conducted to ensure the manuscript meets the highest linguistic standards, promoting clarity and readability.

Galley-Proof Approval

Authors review the galley proofs, which represent the final formatted version of their manuscript, and approve them for publication. This step allows authors to make any final corrections.

Publication

The manuscript is officially published in the Journal of Physiology, Pharmacy and Pharmacology, making the research accessible to the global scientific community.

This editorial process ensures the integrity, quality, and credibility of the content published in NJPPP, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field of Physiology, Pharmacy and Pharmacology.
